Photo Caption Contest: Winner Receives 1 Thomasville and 1 Drexel Store

Store success dependent upon operator. By claiming the prize, the winner assumes all risks and is responsible for the remaining 8 years on the current 10 year lease. The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded. Winner must sign a release form as prepared and accepted acknowledging their acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules. Winner must not request manufacturer's representative in conjunction with store. The contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.

  5. Ya get what ya pay for. Five years ago, a good pair of shoes cost $100. The same brand is available at TJ Maxx and Marshall's today for $45 and is junk. Same with furniture. DH, Tville, Henredon have all traded on the brand name but consumers finally figured it out....

Interviewed after this picture was taken, the Southern California retail store manager was quoted as saying, "This was a nice sale...we can't afford to pay rent, utilities, or staff, but the strong Ashley price points seem to be holding up." He followed this with the shrewd insight, "we are looking to make up for the lack foot traffic, by selling the most amount of furniture possible to everyone that comes in...regardless of margin."
