Phil Washburn, VP of sales for Digital Solutions, expressed his excitement over the new project. "The SRVRS (Sales Rep Virtual Reality Simulator) will allow salespeople from the furniture industry to do things within a virtual environment but experience them as if they're actually happening." Chris Hamilton, a sales rep with Pulaski Furniture, was one of the first to take the SRVRS out for a spin. "I've always wanted to choke a buyer until his eyes bulge out of his head and his face turns purple, but I've never had the guts to actually do it. Now with the SRVRS, I know that the experience would be just as fulfilling as I've always imagined it would be."
Digital Solutions plans to have the SRVRS available at both the upcoming Vegas and High Point market. Furniture Tomorrow received a preliminary menu of virtual reality experiences that will be programmed into the machine:
Punching Retail Buyer - $500
Choking/Strangling Buyer - $750

Pushing Sales Manager down flight of stairs/off cliff/off tall building - $1,000

Breaking News: Phil Washburn, VP of sales for Digital Solutions, expressed his excitement over the newest category that has been added. Sales reps can now virtually lash sales managers who make assinine comments such as "I measured the U.S. map and gosh, Wyoming is a HUGE state and we don't seem to be getting much business; please schedule appointments with "key dealers" and I will come out and help you as you are obviously too ()*&$#&$(* incompetent to get "more than our fair share of business" from this valuable territory.
